Emmanuel Nii Lartey

Director of Sports

Emmanuel Nii Lartey is a Ghanaian sports development professional, basketball coach, educator, and youth empowerment advocate with over a decade of experience in athlete development, sports leadership, and community engagement. He currently serves as the Director of Sports at I Give Foundation, where he leads the design and implementation of sports-based programs that promote youth development, education, health, leadership, and social inclusion.

As the Founder and Head Coach of Basketball School Academy (BSA), Emmanuel has dedicated his career to creating opportunities for young people through sport. His work focuses on developing well-rounded athletes by combining technical basketball training with character development, life skills education, and academic support. Through BSA, he has helped numerous young athletes access pathways for personal growth, competitive sport, and educational advancement.

Emmanuel’s coaching experience spans both local and international environments. He previously served as International Coach and Community Director at Stars Academy Maldives, where he contributed to player development, coach education, and community outreach initiatives. He has also coached at Presbyterian Senior High School, Osu, and supported athlete development within the University of Ghana Women’s Basketball Program.

A passionate advocate for grassroots sports development, Emmanuel champions modern athlete development frameworks, including Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles and evidence-based coaching practices. His vision is to build sustainable sports systems that empower young people to excel in sport, education, and life.

Through his leadership, Emmanuel continues to use sport as a powerful tool for creating opportunities, transforming communities, and developing the next generation of leaders in Ghana and beyond.
